Ken Petersen is a highly accomplished technology and governance expert with more than 30 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing enterprise software solutions across a wide range of industries. He brings deep expertise in translating complex business and regulatory requirements into practical, scalable solutions that drive real value for organizations. Since 2002, Ken has focused extensively on the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) domain, working closely with audit, risk, and compliance teams across multiple industries to help them address evolving business, regulatory, and assurance challenges. His work has supported organizations ranging from global enterprises to fast growing organizations, giving him a broad and pragmatic perspective on how audit functions operate in practice. Ken has been with Wolters Kluwer TeamMate since 2009 and currently serves as an Associate Director of Product Management, leading the strategy and development of several TeamMate products. In this role, he works at the forefront of audit innovation, helping internal auditors improve efficiency, strengthen assurance, and better leverage technology and data to enhance audit outcomes. A strong advocate for practical, auditor centric solutions, Ken is particularly focused on helping audit teams work smarter, deliver greater insight, and adapt to an increasingly complex risk environment. His deep technical background, combined with decades of hands on experience in GRC, enables him to speak authoritatively on the future of audit, audit transformation, and the role of technology in modern assurance. Ken is PMP certified, holds an MBA from the University of Dayton, and a BSBA in Information Systems from The Ohio State University. He is a respected and engaging speaker, known for his clear, experience driven insights and his ability to connect strategic vision with practical execution for internal audit professionals.
